Job Description

Jet Quater Games is looking for a talented 3D Game Designer with 2–5 years of experience to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3D game design, level design, and player experience, and will work closely with developers and artists to bring game concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop 3D game levels, environments, and gameplay mechanics
  • Create detailed game design documents (GDDs) and design specifications
  • Work closely with 3D artists, animators, and developers to implement designs
  • Design player flow, progression systems, and game balance
  • Prototype and iterate on gameplay ideas based on testing and feedback
  • Ensure consistency in visual style, scale, and gameplay experience
  • Participate in playtesting and refine designs to improve player engagement
  • Collaborate with the team to improve overall game quality

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience as a 3D Game Designer
  • Strong understanding of 3D game design principles and player psychology
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of level design, gameplay systems, and game balancing
  • Ability to clearly communicate design ideas to technical and art teams
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing deadlines independently
  • Passion for video games and game development

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with open-world or action-based 3D games
  • Familiarity with 3D tools such as Blender, Maya, or similar (design-side usage)
  • Understanding of basic scripting or gameplay logic
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Strong portfolio showcasing 3D game design or level design work
